How to Register

Students enrolling for classes may do so at the Pearson Education Center, 500 Locust Street, Modesto, CA. Students must be 18 or older to attend adult classes. Adults shall have first priority for enrollment in any adult education class, provided they enroll during the regular enrollment period. (Education code 52523/AR 6200). Please supply a copy of your transcript from high school or last school of attendance when enrolling as a new student.

Location

Classes are held at Pearson Education Center, 500 Locust St, Monday through Thursday evening, during the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. English as a Second Language (ESL) courses offered at various locations throughout Modesto.

Counseling Services

Modesto City Adult Education studentsCounseling services are available to all persons working towards a high school diploma through Adult Education. Those persons should contact our office for an evaluation and/or work-up of a graduation plan. An Adult Education counselor is available by appointment only. Call the Adult Education office to schedule an appointment. Students need to bring a copy of their transcripts from their previous school attended when enrolling for the first time.

Fees

There are no tuition charges for high school diploma or English as a Second Language classes.

Attendance

Students who register for Adult Education classes are expected to attend at least 80% of the time. By not attending at least 80% of the time, the ability to take advantage of Modesto City Schools Educational Programs in the future may be jeopardized.

Work Experience & Military Service Credits

Up to 40 elective credits may be earned in work achievement/on the job training or having served in the United States Military.
